OPEN AIR CINEMA KINSKÝ GARDEN
Beyond the Etnographic museum
program
From the second half of June to mid-September, we screen films ranging from art/pop to art/core. In collaboration with the Goethe Institute and the Austrian and Swiss embassies, as part of the Das Sommerkino project, we also present otherwise hard-to-find essential German-language films.
We start after 9:30 PM, and from August at 9:00 PM. If it is still light (which happens with a clear sky), we play some music until it gets dark. :-)
Films marked as "English friendly" (or "friendly" in other languages) always have Czech subtitles or are in Czech. This marking indicates a wider language accessibility, whether it's an audio track in that language or a Czech film with English subtitles.
In case of unfavorable weather, please check here or on Facebook
to confirm whether the screening will take place. Those who bought tickets in advance will be informed about the move or cancellation (and refund) at least 2 hours before the screening via email.
In case of rain - if more than 30 tickets have been sold in advance - the screening will be moved to Kino Atlas. Tickets can still be purchased on this page (and via GoOut) or at Atlas on site, even after this information is announced.
A minimalist bar is available on site (Únětice beer, legendary Karásek plum lemonade, and bakery sticks).
Toilets are available (by the café of the Ethnographic Museum) and blankets,
in case it gets chilly in the evening.
Program subject to change.
